Classkick Connection Issues

Why Can't I Login?

If you see one of the following errors:

  • The Internet connection appears to be offline.

  • Network connectivity issues detected. Please check your wifi settings.

This is likely due to a bad internet connection on the device. Here are some options to fix it:

  1. Turn the WiFi off and back on again on the device. Check your connection by navigating to twitter.com/Classkick.

  2. Force quit the Classkick app or the browser you are using and open it again. Make sure you are using the newest version of Chrome.

  3. On the iPad: delete the Classkick app and reinstall it. (Link to App Store) Make sure you are using the newest version of Classkick.

  4. Restart your device.

 

 
 

Why Can I Login But My Students Can't?

If you can access Classkick from your device but your students have trouble, or if you can access Classkick from home but not school, and you see this error: 

  • An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.

This is likely due to the school's firewall blocking the URLs that Classkick needs to access. Please have your IT Department visit this page to whitelist the necessary sites. 

 

 
 

How Can I Reset My Classkick Password?

If you see this error:

  • Invalid credentials

This is likely due to an incorrectly typed email and/or password. 

If you need to reset your password:

  • Tap or click on "Forgot Password" directly under the Teacher Log In

  • An email with a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address you provide.

If you do not receive that email, it is likely that your school's firewall is blocking the email. If you receive an email but are unable to open the link provided, try copying and pasting the link into a different browser or a different device. If you are able to open the link provided but see the error: 

  • Sorry, but it looks like your reset link expired on ...

Please tap or click the button to "Send New Reset Email."

 

 
 

I Can Login, But Things Don't Look Right

If you are able to log into Classkick, but elements on the screen are missing or do not match what you expect, please make sure:

  • On an iPad: You have the latest version of Classkick (Link to App Store) and your iOS software up to date. To check for updates, tap Settings > General > Software Update. 

  • On a Chromebook, desktop, or laptop: your Chrome browser is up to date. To check for updates in Chrome, click Chrome > About Google Chrome.

  • On any device: If your school uses a strict firewall, it may be blocking the URLs that Classkick needs to access to display images and audio. Please have your IT Department visit this page to whitelist the necessary sites. 

 

 
 

None of These Solved My Problem

If these common issues and fixes have not solved your problem, or if you see an error like this:

  • Request method 'POST' not supported
