Years ago, as a math teacher in Chicago, I had a classroom full of devices that I couldn’t use. The software for them was terrible. Our administration had been sold gadgets and programs that didn’t actually help our students, and no one was making products that fit into my daily work as a teacher. So I did it myself by building Classkick.
For the past few years, I’ve focused on learning what it takes to truly help teachers. Through classroom visits, I’ve watched as teachers try products for the first time and struggle to get started with new technology. Each observation has helped me improve Classkick tremendously.
Throughout all of my observations and interviews with high performing teachers, the single largest request I have heard is:
Please put your product on Chromebooks!
Today, I am proud to announce our biggest release to date: Classkick Teachers on Chromebooks, Desktops, and Laptops Beta! Now teachers can prep assignments, see student progress in real-time, and give feedback from any web browser. (Feedback is the #1 Driver of Student Learning) Teachers can be there for their students in more flexible ways than ever, no matter what devices they or their students are using.
Our continuing mission is to make sure all students get the help and support they need, and today, we are one step closer. Enjoy and let us know what you think by saying firstname.lastname@example.org!
