Classkick Launches on Student Chromebooks

Education App Increases Student Access to Feedback Technology

Chicago, IL May 16th, 2016 — Classkick, a leading education technology provider, has launched a free web-based version of their popular iPad app. Their feedback platform is now available to any student with a Chromebook, desktop or laptop computer.

With this release, Classkick dramatically increases student access to their technology by supporting affordable, web-enabled devices like Chromebooks. In 2016, Chromebooks surged past Apple and Microsoft to become the most popular device in K-12 schools*. Furthermore, due to the relatively low cost of Chromebooks, more under-resourced districts and students are able to benefit from this technology.

“Classkick was founded on the premise that good teaching and technology can close the achievement gap. We have a lot more work to do, but we’re very excited to support affordable and equitable learning tools for all students.” says Andrew Rowland, CEO of Classkick.

Web Launch Details

Students can now use Classkick free, in two ways:

  1. at app.classkick.com from any Chromebook, desktop or laptop web browser, or
  2. on the student iPad app.

Teachers must use Classkick’s iPad app to create assignments and give feedback, but a web version for teachers will also be available soon.
